v0.11.0 · 2026-10-12

A smarter catalog import

  • Importing a catalog is now a three-step guide: choose a file, match its columns to catalog fields, then review before anything is saved. CSV, TSV, Excel and XML all work, and a file can have up to 25,000 rows (about 4 MB of the columns you use).
  • Your columns can be in any order and named whatever you like. We match them for you, even misspelled or oddly named ones, and by looking at what is in the column; change any match from a menu. We remember your choices, so the next file with the same headers maps itself.
  • Workbooks with several sheets let you pick the sheet, and files with a title or blank rows above the headers are handled: set which row holds the headers.
  • You can now import supplier SKU, minimum order quantity, pack size, internal notes, active/inactive status and a picture link, as well as the fields you could before.
  • Rows with problems are skipped and listed, and you can download just those rows with the reason on each, fix them, and import that file.

v0.10.0 · 2026-10-11

Branded PDF contracts, one-click signing and a signer preview

  • Contracts are now real PDFs in your brand: your logo and colour on the letterhead, the terms in a clean grid, the clauses, signature blocks, page numbers and a SHA-256 integrity box. View them in the app with a full screen option, or download them. Dates follow your time zone.
  • Sign your own contracts. Draw or type a signature once and save it; after that, sign any contract in one click, before or after you send it. Editing a draft removes your signature, because it is tied to the exact text. The Account page lets you view, replace or delete the saved signature.
  • Signers can draw their signature too, on a computer or a phone. The signing page now carries your logo and colour and shows the full PDF.
  • New Preview what the signer sees: step through the branded email they receive, the page the link opens, the signing form and the confirmation email, with nothing sent.
  • The contract toolbar has larger buttons with icons, and Sign is the standout action. Preview a template in a large window instead of a narrow card. The live preview while you fill in a contract now looks like the finished document.
  • Fixed: saving edits to a draft contract failed, and a draft contract page crashed for a vendor with no orders yet.

v0.9.0 · 2026-10-10

Contracts get a Vault and a template library

  • Your contracts now open as a card grid, with a switch back to the list. Filter by status (draft, sent, signed, void) and sort by last updated, name or status.
  • Contracts has two tabs: Vault and Templates. Vault holds the paperwork you have created and sent, with a status strip across the top, so what is waiting on a signature stands out.
  • Signed contracts sit in the Vault as sealed cards. Each one shows a SHA-256 fingerprint of the signed document, so you can tell later whether a copy has been changed.
  • Templates is a browsable library: search and filter it, and preview a template before you start a contract from it.

v0.8.0 · 2026-10-09

Dealer pricing, Contracts, and branded email

  • Give a dealership its own prices. On a dealership’s page, set a discount off list and/or a price per item; that dealership sees and pays its price when it orders, and on invoices you send it.
  • Forms is now Contracts. Attach a contract to a specific order, or to a catalog item so it follows every future order of that item; both sides see it on the order.
  • CRM: the company is now the main record and the person’s name is optional. Link a contact to a dealership, supplier, prospect or partner dealer, and link a task to the note it follows up on.
  • Dealerships can add their name, address, EIN and number of rooftops on their Dealership page. The EIN is only visible to the owner. The Team page now shows what each role can do.
  • Dealerships and suppliers get a status page for the vendors they work with: connection, open and late orders, and what a dealership owes.
  • Click any order to open it: items and totals, progress, tracking numbers, contracts, the invoice, and the full activity history, with status changes and updates right on the page.
  • Contracts are easier to fill in: dates, VINs, phone numbers, amounts and mileage get the right input and are tidied for you, a live preview shows the finished document, and picking an order fills in what it knows. Each contract now has its own page with an audit trail (created, edited, sent, opened, signed, voided), a signature record, edit-while-draft, copy, and void with a reason. Signers get an emailed receipt.
  • More for contracts: edit or delete your own templates, address a contract to a CRM contact, counter-sign once the recipient has signed, and get a reminder three days before a signing link expires. A dealership can now open the contracts on its orders. Each signed e-contract’s fee is added to your fee balance and settled from your next payment.
  • Import catalogs and dealership lists from Excel (.xlsx) or XML, not just CSV.
  • Emails are redesigned. A vendor’s emails to its dealerships (invoices, order updates, contracts, invites) use the vendor’s logo and colour; everything else uses Vendeal’s. Sign-in links are branded too.

v0.7.0 · 2026-10-09

Orders both ways, tracking, and a friendlier sign-in

  • Orders now has Inbound and Outbound. Inbound is what you buy from suppliers; Outbound is what you sell to dealerships. Connecting a supplier on Vendeal is optional: order from any supplier by name and mark it received to add the items to your stock.
  • Set up and manage your supplier connections right on the Orders page, without going to Settings.
  • Add tracking numbers to any order. Both sides see the same timeline, you can post your own updates, and Professional and Enterprise plans get email alerts when a shipment moves.
  • Order tables are easier to use everywhere: search, sortable columns, paging, and a card layout on phones. Payouts, transactions, billing invoices and Dealerships use the same table. Marking an order sent only asks for an arrival date when you click it.
  • After you sign in you now land on a welcome screen that sets up your workspace while it loads, with a few quick reads while you wait, instead of a spinner on the sign-in form.
  • The Vendeal logo now stands in for the V in the name. Signed-in visitors see a Dashboard button instead of Log in and Get started on the public pages.

v0.6.0 · 2026-10-08

A richer catalog: pictures, groups and a page for every item

  • The catalog has a new look: summary tiles for stock value, items needing restock and average margin, an always-on filter bar, and a switch between list and grid. Dealerships get the grid with pictures too.
  • Add a picture to any item by uploading a file or pasting an https link. Items without a picture show a placeholder, and you can filter for them.
  • Group items (Brakes, Fluids, Extended warranties), then filter by group or move many items at once. Select items to activate, deactivate or regroup them in one step.
  • Every item has its own page: stock by location, what is promised on open orders, days of cover and reorder advice; the order-to-paid sales cycle; and revenue, collected and outstanding, average price against list, margin and top dealerships.
  • Track what an item costs you, its supplier and lead time, and keep private notes. Dealerships never see cost, supplier or notes.
  • Export your catalog to CSV. The import now reads group, cost, supplier and lead time, and re-importing a SKU keeps its picture and group. You can also duplicate an item as a starting point.

v0.5.0 · 2026-10-07

Guest dealerships, account control, and category-aware catalogs

  • A Dealerships page for vendors: every dealership you sell to in one searchable table with what each owes, open orders and last order, a detail page with orders, invoices, contacts, notes, tags, an account manager and your own net days for new invoices, plus CSV import and export.
  • Invoice a dealership that is not on Vendeal. They review and pay from a link with no sign-up, and can create an account from it to keep everything in one place, or merge those invoices into a dealership account they already have.
  • Download your data and delete your account yourself in Account. Teams can change roles and remove members, and an organization always keeps an owner.
  • Two-step verification now comes with recovery codes, so losing your authenticator no longer locks you out. Accounts that sign in only with a phone number can add an email address to become eligible for two-step.
  • Invoice lines now fit phone screens instead of clipping the amount and buttons.
  • Catalogs, forms and ordering fit what you sell: F&I contracts and software subscriptions start as unstocked items, distributors can set minimum orders and case sizes, and each category gets its own suggested forms.

v0.4.1 · 2026-10-06

Clearer fees, safer signing links

  • Import your catalog from a CSV file: preview it first, add or update thousands of items at once, and find them with search and paging.
  • You pay Stripe’s fees at cost, and Vendeal never pays them for you. Vendeal’s platform fee varies by plan and is added on top.
  • Each payment on an invoice shows its fees: Stripe’s fee, trued up to what Stripe actually charged, plus Vendeal’s plan fee.
  • Instant Pay shows its fees before you pay out. They come out of your next payment.
  • Signing links expire after 30 days, and signers confirm the email address the document was sent to.

v0.4.0 · 2026-10-05

Invoice emails and disputes, locations, reminders, and a sales pipeline

  • Invoices are emailed to the dealership’s accounting contact, and vendors can resend them.
  • Dealerships can dispute or hold a line with a reason; vendors are emailed, can reply or credit a quantity, and the line goes back for review.
  • Vendors can record a check or bank-transfer payment received outside Vendeal, free of charge.
  • Manage locations in Settings, and track catalog stock per location with reorder points and low-stock alerts.
  • Services and contracts can be listed without inventory.
  • Daily reminders for low stock, invoices coming due or overdue, and orders arriving or running late, plus a “Needs attention” list on the dashboard.
  • Dealerships can find a vendor and request a connection, re-order from past orders, and see what they owe each vendor.
  • Vendors get a branded dealer portal page with their logo and colour, and a logo upload in Settings.
  • A CRM pipeline to track deals through stages, with totals and win rate.
  • A form library: fill in templates, print or save as PDF, or send a document for e-signature with an audit trail.
  • Seat and connection limits per plan, shown on the Team page.
  • Security hardening: org access is now verified against membership records.

v0.3.0 · 2026-10-05

Brand theming, a collapsible sidebar, and faster pages

  • Brand color presets, and your brand color now themes the entire dashboard, including the sidebar logo accent.
  • A collapsible icon-rail sidebar, so you can reclaim space when you need it.
  • Breadcrumbs on dashboard pages to show where you are.
  • A "what's new" version link in the sidebar that highlights when there are updates you haven't seen.
  • Faster page loads: prerendered marketing pages, lazier loading of sign-in tooling, and lighter fonts.

v0.2.0 · 2026-09-23

Passwordless sign-in, guided setup, and a redesigned dashboard

  • Sign in with an emailed magic link, your phone, or Google: no password to set, forget, or reset.
  • A three-step setup wizard for new organizations: pick your org type, your vendor category, and a name.
  • A first-run guided tour of your dashboard, tailored to the pages your role can actually open.
  • A redesigned dashboard home with recent orders and quick actions for your role.
  • Analytics with a 30-day order-volume chart, plus a consistent table and icon treatment across catalog, orders, CRM, and team.
  • A live brand-color preview in Settings, and a permanently dark sidebar that stays readable in both themes.

v0.1.0 · 2026-09-22

Platform launch

  • Org accounts for vendors, dealerships, and manufacturers/underwriters, each with its own role-based permissions.
  • Branded vendor portals: your own subdomain, logo, and brand color.
  • Team invites, scoped per role.
  • Catalog and per-location inventory tracking.
  • Vendor ↔ dealership and vendor ↔ manufacturer connections.
  • Purchase orders with full status tracking, from pending to delivered.
  • Invoicing with line-by-line approve/hold review and Stripe-powered payment.
  • CRM for dealer accounts: contacts, notes, and tasks.
  • Self-serve billing: subscribe, change plan and manage payment methods without leaving Vendeal.
  • Personal account settings.
  • Vendor directory search, to find a connection partner by name instead of an exact slug.
